Solution
To avoid spending excessive time in 3D software—where shading and rendering can be very time-consuming—I recorded as much as possible in camera.
I worked closely with product owners to create very detailed scripts, ensuring that everything said or shown on screen was accurate from the start. This allowed us to record only what was necessary and avoid unnecessary revisions.
For the Signature UI video, we already had an earlier concept that had been paused. I reused that project and focused on showing only the most important elements, replacing the screens with updated content and the correct information.
Workflow
The process started with script development together with the product owners to ensure technical accuracy. Once the scripts were finalized, we organized recording sessions to capture the necessary footage efficiently.
After recording, I handled the editing process, integrating the footage with screen recordings and other visual assets. Whenever possible, I reused elements from previous projects to speed up production and maintain visual consistency.
Before release, we ran a review round with stakeholders to confirm that all information was correct. Once approved, the videos were finalized and delivered to the sales team.
Final Thoughts
Recording as much as possible in camera was key to saving a significant amount of time in production.
Having the scripts ready from the beginning gave me a clear path for execution and helped reduce revisions.
Reusing an existing project was the final boost that allowed me to deliver a strong video while saving a considerable amount of production time.
